The EEPLIANT projects will be presented at the EU Sustainable Energy Week on 5 June 2018 in Brussels
The European Union Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) is a series of events organised annually by the European Commission in Brussels, consisting out of policy conferences, networking opportunities and an awards competition. The high point of EUSEW is the annual Policy Conference featuring leading figures and a diverse programme of sessions and side-events aimed at discussing and shaping Europe's energy future. This year the event will take place from 4 to 8 June 2018 and PROSAFE will be participating as the lead organiser of a policy conference on 5 June at the Residence Palace, Rue de la Loi 155, B-1040 Brussels.
The EEPLIANT1 and EEPLIANT2 projects help deliver the intended economic and environment benefits of the Energy Labelling and Ecodesign Directives by increasing the rates of compliance with them. For this reason, PROSAFE has taken the opportunity to present these projects to a wider audience including distributors, manufacturers, dealers, research institutes, NGOs and governmental organisations. It will be part of the ‘Energy Efficient Products & Market Surveillance: Strengthening The Internal Market, Achieving EU’s Energy Efficiency Goals’ seminar between 16.00 and 17.30 on 5 June 2018, which will be coordinated together with ECOS on behalf of the Cool Products, a coalition of European NGOs,.
The invited speakers are lead experts in Market Surveillance and the EU legislation. They will present their activities performed to enforce product compliance across the EU market, the EU energy efficiency legislation and the current challenges present at a national level. An interactive session will be organised towards the end of the presentation allowing participants to better understand the crucial aspects of product compliance and energy efficiency.
